Hard to believe that we are only about a year away from another 7th Congressional election and hope springs eternal. The president
has managed to alienate someone from just about any political group, including his own. This does not bode well for Democrats in their
re-election bids. I must note that Ed Perlmutter has managed to distance himself from the president as far away as possible, but it
remains to be seen whether he will continue this tactic (I believe he will try). This is the time to really plant those grass roots
in our attempt to take back the 7th again and put it in the good hands of a solid conservative.
The election season is fast approaching and we will be choosing a candidate within the next 7 months. Besides a new congressperson I believe we will be electing a new CU regent and a candidate for state Board of Education.
We are still awaiting the new district maps to see exactly where everyone
falls. Early projections seem to take Arapahoe County out of the 7th and an expansion north into Westminster and possibly Broomfield.
The courts are working this out and we will know hopefully by the end of the year. Stay tuned and be ready to help your local parties
as they scramble to prepare for the February caucus.
Thanks again for your continued involvement and don’t forget about the Nov
election of this year and make sure you vote in your local elections, hopefully for someone who can represent Republican values.
Sincerely,
Nathan
